The Pastoral Search Committee is completing travel arrangements for a candidate’s final interview in early July. Provided the Pastoral Search Committee approves to recommend the candidate and the candidate is willing to be recommended, the Pastoral Search Committee will formally "recommend to the congregation a pastoral candidate who, in its judgment, fulfills the constitutional requirements of that office and is most suited to be profitable to the spiritual interests of the congregation." Within two weeks, the candidate and his family would be introduced to the SCPC congregation; there would be multiple opportunities to meet and interact with the candidate. He would also preach on that Sunday morning. The Session would then call a Congregation Meeting for the following week, a Sunday evening, with the sole agenda item "Election of Senior Pastor – Spring Cypress Presbyterian Church."
