The Children’s Ministry of Spring Cypress Presbyterian Church joyfully partners with families to teach, model and proclaim the gospel of Christ to our covenant children so that they may grow as disciples in God’s kingdom.

Created For a Purpose is a week long creative arts camp for girls who have completed 3rd through 8th grade.  It will run June 26th through June 30th from 9 am until 1:30 pm. The cost is $190 and includes a CFAP T-Shirt, daily lunch and all the supplies for beautiful creative arts projects in the areas of sewing, painting, sculpting and paper arts. Participants will spend the week in a small group with a high school or college aged counselor for Bible study and prayer. This week is all about teaching young girls that they are created for a purpose and loved by God as uniquely and beautifully made by Him! We will close our week on Friday, June 30th with a Tea Party and Art Show with our family members. Invite your friends and join us for a week of creativity and biblical teaching!

VBS is July 17th through July 21st

This high energy day camp will help children of all ages learn that they are uniquely wired and wonderfully made. This summer, kids will discover that the creator of ALL things created them to know Him, love Him and serve Him.

VBS is for children 3 years of age through 5th grade. Yep, you read that correctly, we’ve opened a new class for three year olds!  Children must have turned three by September, 2016 and all school-aged kids will be placed in groups according to the grade completed by summer time.

COST is $15 and includes a camp T-Shirt and Pizza Party on Friday!

Sunday School

Sunday School begins at 9:30 am in the Children’s Wing. Check-In opens at 9:15 am.

All are welcome as we grow together in God’s Word!

We offer classes for toddlers through 6th grade using the Gospel Project for Kids. This three-year chronological study of God’s Word helps kids understand how all scripture, from Genesis to Revelation, gives testimony to Jesus Christ. We are learning that the Bible is one story of God’s redemption.

Nursery Ministry

The Nursery at SCPC provides loving care for your infants and a special place for your toddler and preschooler to play during worship services, Sunday School, and special events held at the church. Beyond safe and excellent care, our ministry to infants and toddlers provides an environment of spiritual nurture through prayer, simple Bible stories and the hearing of simple truth statements we call baby gospel gems!

Our Childcare rooms are staffed by paid, background checked and CPR certified caregivers. They supervise church volunteers who have gone through our Child Protection Policy training. A copy of our Nursery Ministry Handbook and our Child Protection Policy are available in the Children’s Wing.

Wednesday Nights

Join us Wednesday evenings in the Children’s Wing for an opportunity to grow in faith and friendship! We offer something for children of all ages and nursery care for babies and toddlers so that parents can attend midweek groups.

Children’s Choir is for children of all ages (PreK – 6th grade). Children’s Choir seeks to cultivate worshiping hearts in children through music. We learn songs that are sung during worship services, songs that reinforce teaching on Wednesday evenings and songs and musicals to share with others. Join us as we lift our voices to the Lord.

Pre-K and Kinders will engage in a study titled, Jesus What a Savior from Children Desiring God. This chronological study on redemption explores the incomparable greatness and worth of God, the desperate condition of helpless sinners, and the all-sufficient work of Jesus Christ to redeem sinful people.

Lower elementary students will participate in a class from Children Desiring God entitled, The ABC’s of God, a study for children on the character of God. Children will open their Bibles and find answers to questions like “who is God?”, “what is He like?” and “how should I respond to Him?” Children will be challenged to consider that God is worthy of their greatest love, honor, trust and obedience.

Upper elementary students will enjoy a fun night of fellowship, recreation, and Bible study.  This semester we will start a year-long study of the gospel of John. Not only will we encounter life changing teaching, but we will learn how to study God’s Word by digging deep in one book – something students this age have not yet done. Join us as we grow in faith and friendship together!
